As you may have read in Campaign Asia, this week we announced our latest office launch, in Jakarta, Indonesia. Our CEO of Southeast Asia, Chris Chong, explains how the office fits into our global growth plans.
We’re excited to have launched in a key market for our Southeast Asia expansion – Indonesia. It’s home to a vibrant business community, and 280 million consumers, with a digitally savvy population and lots of potential.
Leading the team, we have Yudhi Hastiardi as Managing Director. Yuhdi brings 20 years of advertising and tech experience to the role, and joins from Nava+, where he was Head of Innovation and Business Development. He also built Saatchi & Saatchi’s subsidiary agency in Indonesia and launched psLIVE, an award-winning experiential agency in the Dentsu Aegis Network.
Yuhdi and his team will not only serve local brands, but also expand We Are Social’s footprint in the key Southeast Asia market – I know he’s excited to build a strong, ideas-focused team. Our inaugural clients include local telco Ofon, Etawalin goat milk brand and health tech startup Klikdokter, briefing the team to develop brand playbooks and socially-led marketing strategies to run across Indonesia.
This is another significant step in our plans for expansion in Southeast Asia, with Indonesia joining our Singapore office in the region, as well as Kobe, where we deliver world-class influencer marketing strategies leveraging its patented AI technology; and Malaysia where we have production and creative capabilities.
In Singapore, we now have a team of 90 working with brands such as Samsung and Amazon. Singapore is already a key hub for innovation at We Are Social, and we’ll be further building on this through enhancing our virtual influencer creation and specialist production capabilities, extending our AI product offering, and developing XR (extended reality) products targeted specifically at brands in the media, fashion and luxury spaces.
We’re looking forward to working with more dynamic brands in Indonesia and across Southeast Asia. If you want to hear more, get in touch here.
