How To Embed Tweets On Facebook?
I have been using Twitter for a few years now and learn how to embed tweets on Facebook.
I am not sure of the reason why Facebook removed this feature from their updates page but you can still get it working on your website.
It is very easy to do once you know what to do. Here is an example of an embedded Twitter feed :
- Provide two (or more) options to include images or not.
- Include the ‘Tweet this’ functionality using a plugin such as “Tweet This”.
- Three-column design: 1/3 for large images, 1/3 for small (square) images, and 1/3 for other content (like clickable links, etc.)
Step 1: The first step is to create your Twitter feed. You can do this by going to Twitter and clicking on Create new -> Ad.
Step 2: Enter your feed’s name and choose whether you want it public or private (the latter meaning that no one else will be able to follow it).
Step 3: Once you have done that, copy the URL of the page. Now we need some HTML to embed our feed into. You can use whatever style you want when creating your feed.
In this example I will be using a three column design with the large image, the small images and other content in each of them respectively. In order to create that effect we will need four divisions:
In your HTML document, add a div outside your BODY but before everything else (to make sure it is above the fold). Inside the DIV, add another one for your header called .header. Inside it, add a div called .main, and inside that, you will be adding your Twitter feed.
Next is getting the links to work properly. To do this, use an unordered list (ul) with anchors (a). Each list item should have two link tags that go back to the same page but are differentiated by their attributes.
You can also put some text before the links if you want. Also, note that each list item should have a unique id so that it is easy to identify on which div you want your tweets.
You can change the link in each list item however you like. In this example, I will be using an anchor with an ID of #.
A span with img inside it to give it the twitter like look The link tag If you want, you can add some text before or after your links, just be sure to give them unique ids so that they are easy to identify.
